With its history clearly rooted in Hawaiian surf culture, it has quickly diversified into many forms from surfing, to touring, to racing. Today Stand Up Paddling can be seen on every coastline and is forging its way to the inland waterways and lakes. As a perfect compliment to surfing and kite surfing, stand up paddling now gives you the possibility to expand your time on the water.
Learn how to Stand Up Paddle board with a qualified instructor and take a tour of Napeague or any Hampton waterway. Lessons/Tours can be customized to take advantage of all the great spots in the on the East End. We combine the lesson with a tour so you real idea of what the sport is all about.

- Learn the proper way to handle the gear and use different methods of paddling to get you around in the most efficient way.
- Forward paddle stroke.

- While we go through the lesson you get to travel the bay learning about the local ecosystem and wildlife.

STAND UP PADDLE SURFING
ADVANCED
Once you have some solid control over the paddle board its time to take it to the next level. In this lesson we are in the ocean learning to surf the waves on the paddle board.
Riding waves on a paddle board is a blast! Summer surf in the hamptons is usually around waist high and is perfect for the SUP. The big boards can catch the waves earlier than a conventional surfboard making those small wave rides last forever.
There is a lot to learn when we hit the ocean. In this lesson we start with surfing basics and learn how to deal with a 10 foot board in the surf break.

- Picking the perfect spot
- Timing the waves to make paddling out easier
- Turning and Taking off
- Surfing rules and Etiquette
- Dodging the board when you wipe out.
- Wave Riding!
